These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.stpapp.com (the "Website"), operated by STP, Inc., also known as Sex Trafficking Prevention ("STP," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Website, joining the waitlist, entering a giveaway, or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

About STP and This Website

STP is a mobile app currently in development. The app is not yet available, and STP is not yet live in Atlanta or anywhere else.

Features described on the Website, including live location sharing, directions to safe places, community help requests, real-time reporting, AI detection, education modules, and integrations with outside organizations, are planned features. They may change, be delayed, or never be released. App store badges on the Website do not mean the app can be downloaded today.

The safe places shown in images and mockups on the Website are examples only. They are not real partner locations, and no business or organization shown has agreed to take part in STP.

These Terms apply to the Website only. The STP mobile app will have its own terms of use.

STP Is Not an Emergency Service

Do not rely on the Website, our forms, our email, our phone line, or our social media accounts to get help in an emergency. Messages sent through the Website are not monitored around the clock and may not be read for some time.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Website. Giveaways and prizes have their own eligibility requirements, which are set out in the official rules for each promotion.

Waitlist and Early Access

Joining the waitlist is free. It lets us send you updates about STP and information about early access. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the app, a launch date, a place in line, or the availability of any feature. We may change, pause, or close the waitlist at any time.

Referral Program and Giveaways

No purchase or payment is required to join the waitlist or enter any giveaway.

Each giveaway, including the Most Referrals, Social Post, and Video Contest giveaways, is governed by official rules that STP publishes or provides for that promotion. The official rules cover eligibility, entry periods, how winners are selected, and how prizes are delivered. If the official rules conflict with these Terms, the official rules control for that giveaway.

To keep the referral program fair, you may not:

  • Create fake, duplicate, or automated sign-ups, or use bots, scripts, or disposable email addresses.
  • Sign people up without their knowledge or permission.
  • Buy, sell, or trade referrals or sign-ups.
  • Promote your referral link through spam, misleading claims, or content that breaks the rules of the platform where you post it.

We may disqualify entries, remove referrals, adjust leaderboard rankings, or withhold prizes if we reasonably believe someone has broken these rules or the official rules. To the extent permitted by law, we may modify, suspend, or cancel a giveaway if fraud, technical problems, or other issues outside our control affect its fairness.

Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, TikTok, or any other social media platform.

Content You Submit

This section covers messages you send us and content you post publicly using #STPgiveaway or tagging STP, including videos, photos, and written posts ("Your Content").

You keep ownership of Your Content. By submitting it or tagging STP in it, you give STP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, display, share, and adapt Your Content to promote STP and its mission, including on the Website and our social media accounts. Where practical, we will credit your social media handle.

By submitting Your Content, you confirm that:

  • You created it or have the right to share it.
  • Everyone who appears in it has agreed to be included, and if anyone under 18 appears, a parent or guardian has agreed.
  • It does not identify any person as a victim or survivor of trafficking or abuse without that person's permission.
  • It does not break any law or infringe anyone else's rights.

If you ask us to stop using Your Content, we will stop making new uses of it within a reasonable time. We cannot remove copies that have already been published or shared by others.

Safe Space Partner Inquiries

Contacting STP about becoming a Safe Space does not create a partnership, agreement, or obligation for you or for STP. Nothing gets signed on a first conversation. A Safe Space partner relationship exists only after both sides sign a separate written agreement that sets out what the partner commits to. Until then, STP will not list, name, or represent any location as a Safe Space.

Donations, Sponsorships, and Investment

Any payment you make to STP is voluntary. Unless STP confirms in writing that it is a tax-exempt organization and that your contribution qualifies, do not assume that a payment to STP is tax-deductible. Please speak with your own tax advisor.

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors, and STP does not store your full card or bank account details. Donations are non-refundable, except where required by law or agreed in writing by STP.

Nothing on the Website is an offer to sell, or a request for an offer to buy, shares, equity, or any other security. Any investment in STP, Inc. would be offered only through separate written documents and in compliance with applicable securities laws. References on the Website to shares or equity connected to funding levels are descriptions only and are not offers.

Acceptable Use

When using the Website, you agree not to:

  • Submit false information or pretend to be someone else.
  • Use the Website or our forms to harass, threaten, stalk, or harm anyone.
  • Use the Website to locate, contact, or gather information about a person who may be seeking safety.
  • Send spam, malware, or harmful code.
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its systems, or our service providers.
  • Scrape, copy, or collect data from the Website using automated tools.
  • Interfere with the Website's normal operation or security.
  • Use the Website for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual Property

The Website and its content, including the STP name, logo, text, graphics, images, app designs, and mockups, are owned by STP or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other laws. STP holds a granted U.S. patent covering technology behind the app. Using the Website does not give you any right or license to use STP's name, logo, content, or patented technology, except that you may view the Website and share links to it.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Website links to or uses services operated by others, such as Instagram, the Apple App Store, Google Play, Webflow, and KickoffLabs. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

Disclaimers

THE WEBSITE AND ALL INFORMATION ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

STP does not guarantee that the Website will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that information on the Website is complete or current. The Website does not provide legal, medical, mental health, or safety advice, and information on the Website is not a substitute for help from emergency services or qualified professionals.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STP'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE WEBSITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or limits on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless STP and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Website, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any other person.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you have a dispute with STP, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, the dispute will be decided exclusively by the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and STP agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Website, the waitlist, or the referral program at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including Content You Submit, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law and Disputes, will continue to apply.

General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any official giveaway rules, are the entire agreement between you and STP about the Website. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. STP may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
